Give Kids A Smile

“Give Kids A Smile” (GKAS) is a national event held in conjunction with Children’s Dental Health Month each February. It is sponsored by the American Dental Association and its constituent dental societies. The purpose is to offer complimentary needed dental care to children who otherwise do not have access to good dental care.

Why are sealants such a great value?

are a great way to protect your child's molars from developing decay on the chewing surfaces.

This "plastic" type material can be placed in minutes and is hardened by a special light.  Sealants provide a physical barrier so that cavity-causing bacteria cannot invade the pits and fissures on the chewing surfaces of the molars.  It is best to place the sealants as soon as each permanent molar breaks through the surface of the gum tissues.  Want to know more?? ...feel free to call and ask.
